The latest addition to the A-dec dental unit range, the A-dec 400, has been awarded the prestigious 2013 Best New Product for Women, by the American Association of Women Dentists.
This is the second year in succession A-dec has won the coveted award, which last year went to A-dec's innovative LED operatory light - itself a multi-award winner.
The announcement was made at the annual AAWD conference, which judged new products based on their enhancement of the practice and performance of the female dentist and/or care of their female patients.
In awarding the prize, AAWD President-Elect, Dr Tawana Lee-Ware, said: "Our members had the opportunity to see this brand new system first-hand during our annual meeting. They were very impressed with its sleek styling and excellent attention to detail. But mainly, AAWD members appreciated the chair's ergonomic design with the woman dentist in mind. That's why it was named 2013 Best New Product for Women by the American Association of Women Dentists".
A-dec Australia Marketing Manager, Simon Taggart, said the A-dec 400 included many of the innovative design features that set A-dec chairs apart.
"A-dec has a very strong emphasis on ergonomics in its dental delivery systems and the A-dec 400 incorporates an ultra thin backrest and flexible 'Radius' delivery system, which allows optimum and infinite positioning of the chair and delivery system for both the doctor and assistant.
"Like our other high end products, the A-dec 400 is available in a range of chair configurations to suit the way different clinical specialists operate and features quick and easy left-to right-handed conversion.
"The A-dec 400 is available with or without a cuspidor option, in either Continental or traditional delivery system and has a range of attractive seamless or plush sewn upholstery options."
The chair is available through A-dec dealers in Australia and can be pre-ordered with popular ancillary options including intra-oral camera, scaler or electric motor, which are pre-wired at the factory to save time and installation costs.
