ADAVB and BOQ Specialist reveal winner of $10,000 bursary

Dr Monica O'Malley, owner of Your New Dentist in Mooroolbark, Victoria, has been awarded the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) and BOQ Specialist Practice Bursary worth $10,000 at a ceremony attended by 700 dental professionals at the ADAVB Convention in Melbourne in June.

Now in its second consecutive year, the bursary acknowledges dental practices committed to quality learning and aims to fund further professional development for practitioners and professional staff members across the whole practice.

ADAVB President, Dr Stephen Liew, said: "We are pleased to award Dr O'Malley the bursary, recognising her outstanding commitment towards quality learning for everyone in the practice. We were impressed by the team's proactive approach to making patient visits both a positive and empowering experience".

Commenting on the bursary, BOQ Specialist State Manager for Victoria, Dianne Stewart said: "We are pleased to partner once again with The ADAVB recognising outstanding commitment towards quality learning across the State".

BOQ Specialist CEO, Dr Brett Robinson, concluded: "BOQ Specialist's years of experience providing distinctive banking solutions to dentists has given us the knowledge to understand the importance of upskilling and the opportunities that training can bring to practices. In addition to a Certificate of Recognition, the $10,000 bursary includes $8,000 to be applied to CPD and training programs and registration to ADAVB CPD courses worth $2,000.
