ADX Sydney Cements Premier Event Status With National Accolade

The status of the ADX Sydney dental exhibition as the nation's premier dental event was cemented with recognition in this year's events sector awards presented by the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA).

EEAA is the peak association for the exhibition and event industry in Australia and New Zealand and each year presents awards to showcase both nations' best trade shows. The success of the ADX16 Sydney dental exhibition as a sales platform for dental product suppliers was recognised when it received a Highly Commended award in the category for industry association events presented at the new International Convention Centre Sydney on 30 November 2016.

"Of particular significance was that ADX16 Sydney was a finalist in the category for best trade show over ten thousand square meters, placing it in the top-tier of all trade shows in Australia and New Zealand. No other event in Australia's dental community has ever received such recognition," said Troy Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA).

The judges recognised the commitment of ADIA to ensure that ADX16 Sydney was available to dental product suppliers as a platform to showcase the innovative diagnostic and treatment pathways that the dental industry offers dental and oral health professionals.

"EEAA's recognition of the ADX16 Sydney dental exhibition is an important milestone in the transformation that will take place in ADIA's event management capacity as detailed in the 2016-20 ADIA Strategic Plan. This will cement the status of ADX Sydney as the nation's premier dental event through the introduction of exciting initiatives that increase visitor attendance," Mr Williams said.

Consistent with the ADIA External Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, ADIA will support organisations representing dentists and allied oral healthcare professionals wishing to convene components of their continuing professional development program at ADX18 Sydney.

"Planning is underway for ADX18 Sydney, an event that's going to be something special. More than ten thousand stakeholders from across Australia's dental and oral health community will converge at an event that will set new standards for dental exhibitions in Australia," Mr Williams concluded.
