AOSC 2017 - The regional platform for professionals to achieve success and overcome challenges in orthodontics

Events

After a successful staging of the last AOSC in 2015, the Association of Orthodontists (Singapore) will once again be bringing this specialised congress for orthodontists back to Singapore. The 4th edition will be held from 24 - 26 February 2017 at Marina Bay Sands.

Plans are underway to bring the most innovative, captivating and world-renowned speakers to the orthodontic community in Southeast Asia. Under the theme “Achieving Success, Overcoming Challenges in Orthodontics”, the 2017 edition will see keynote speakers such as Richard Mclaughlin (University of Southern California), Greg Huang (University of Washington), Ravi Nanda (University of Connecticut) and Jay Bowman (Kalamazoo Orthodontics) share their insights to help orthodontists improve their practice. Leaving no stone unturned at the conference, topics covered include facial aesthetics, managing white spot lesions, diagnosing and managing anterior open bite as well as how to manage complex multidisciplinary patients.

"AOSC 2017 intends to provide a vibrant platform for dental professionals throughout the world to share ideas, explore new advances in orthodontic technology and foster closer ties. Our program will provide a mix of lectures and workshops that will be facilitated by our esteemed keynote speakers," explained AOSC 2017 Chairperson, Dr Mohan.

Myriad orthodontic products at the exhibition

To guarantee a well-rounded experience and to provide ample business opportunities, an exhibition with the latest orthodontic products and tools will once again be held alongside the conference. Dental manufacturers, distributors and traders such as Eastland Dental Supplies, Medisys Innovation, Propel Ortho and Singapore Smart Tech will be exhibiting in 2017 to help you source for the latest products and services available to create your state-of-the-art orthodontic clinic.

Industry networking opportunities

Following the good turn-out at AOSC 2015's Welcome Reception and the Gardens by the Bay Run - the organizing committee will be bringing both events back for AOSC 2017. Whether delegates are looking to unwind and discover the cosmopolitan city of Singapore or whether they prefer to stay healthy while exploring Singapore's very own horticultural oasis – Gardens by the Bay; there will be a networking opportunity to suit everyone.

"What makes the AOS Congress unique and why so many orthodontists enjoy attending the congress is the variety of networking events that are planned for the participants", shared Dr Geraldine Lee, President of the Association of Orthodontists (Singapore). A closed door reception for Association Presidents will also take place to facilitate the co-operation amongst the ASEAN countries.

Registration for AOSC 2017 will open in August 2016.
