Amann Girrbach, one of the most progressive suppliers of products and services for digital dentistry to the dental laboratory sector, now offers a fully complete solution for the fabrication of functional, interference-free restorations using CAD/CAM completely in-house.
This has been made possible in particular by development of the Ceramill product range in which Amann Girrbach has incorporated its application expertise from decades of processing technology.
The Ceramill Motion 2 was presented at the beginning of 2012. This created a compact machine, which combined 5-axis milling and grinding technology in the wet and dry mode for an enormous diversity of material and indications. The range of services now covers 22 areas of application and additional materials and functionality continue to be added. In this year alone bars, attachments and splints have been added. Further indications, e.g. use of CAD/CAM for full-denture prosthetics, are being developed and, thanks to the development of Ceramill Sintron non-precious metal, frameworks can now also be fabricated in-house. Ceramill Sintron non-precious sinter metal provides the highest degree of process reliability with maximum control, value creation and convenience. The Ceramill user can fabricate non-precious metal restorations using CAD/CAM in-house in the laboratory using Ceramill Sintron. The wax-like texture of the Ceramill Sintron blanks enables effortless dry milling on desktop machines. External manufacture of laser-sintered frameworks and also the often error-prone, non-precious casting process are no longer required.
