Dental Axess and Dentsply Implants Australia have announced a joint release of a new software interface solution linking Dental Axess 3Shape customers with ATLANTIS VAD (Virtual Abutment Design) software.
With this seamless integration, Dental Axess 3Shape customers are able to transfer digital scan information containing the patient oral geometry with implant positions, immediately into Atlantis design and global manufacturing facilities based in Mondal, Sweden.
For dental laboratories working with 3Shape solutions from Dental Axess, this direct connectivity with Atlantis Abutment Design Services offers several benefits including reduced costs, elimination of the need to ship physical models and reduced turnaround time whilst providing patient-specific customised abutments for customers.
Atlantis abutments are available for all major implants systems for true flexibility and freedom of choice when it comes to biocompatible materials, with titanium, gold shaded titanium and zirconia available. All Atlantis customised abutments are also backed by the most comprehensive warranty from
Dentsply Implants and both cement and screw retained options are available.
"Dental Axess is always seeking new ways to provide maximum flexibility and a wide range of options to our customers, said Dental Axess Director Belinda Muggleton.
"We are very pleased to be able to now offer Atlantis abutment solutions as an interface with our 3Shape Dental Systems, providing our customers access to high quality implant prosthetics."
