Dental Axess is preparing for the official launch of the next generation 3Shape Dental System 2014 to its growing customer base in Australia and New Zealand. This will follow comprehensive beta testing which is currently being carried out on software and production interfaces.
3Shape's Dental System 2014 from Dental Axess will introduce new major indications, a variety of powerful design tools, optimized 3D order-creation, stronger scan and design workflows and a new and highly intuitive user-interface.
"We continue to support our customers and production interfaces with the most current software updates available," said Dental Axess Director, Mr Per Claesson. "Together with enhancing ease-of-use, we believe our customers will increase productivity and the range of services labs can offer in a competitive environment."
New features in Dental System 2014 include:
Optimized CAD Workflow and User Interface
Dental System 2014 offers a whole new user experience with optimised workflows, a redesigned user interface and improved user friendliness especially for first time operators. There is also a new option which allows users to choose between "Basic" and "Expert" design mode to adjust complexity of workflows and tools according to your needs, software skills and experience.
New Implant Studio
3Shape's new Implant Studio solution brings together implant planning, prosthetics and surgical guide design for local manufacturing to provide a cost-efficient solution that improves turnaround time and creates new business opportunities for both clinicians and laboratories. Implant Studio is a fully open system that supports DICOM CT scans and implant systems (libraries) from major implant manufacturers.
New 3D Order Form
With the new 3D Order Form, it is more intuitive to create orders in the Dental System. Restorative indications can be visualised directly on a full-jaw 3D model, with multiple transparency effect layers for cases with more than one indication.
New Splint Designer
Splint Designer allows for expansion of the digital offering to include Splints, Night Guards, Protectors and similar dental appliances. The software also includes an option to engrave ID tags in the appliance for easy patient identification or branding of your lab.
Dental Axess has developed customised milling strategies allowing local production of appliances on selected milling systems from imes-icore and Roland DG.
Add gingiva to major indications and cutback
Dental System 2014 now offers the opportunity to add gingiva to all major design indications - from Crown and Bridge restorations to any kind of implant-supported restorations. As a new function, technicians can now cut back selected areas of teeth and gingival to prepare space for hand veneering an acrylic or composite layer.
Soft tissue implant models
The new model builder introduces the possibility to create digital lab models with soft tissue for both Crown and Bridge models and Implant Models.
Customised impression trays
Dental System 2014 release offers a unique workflow for designing Customised Impression Trays in a few easy steps; block-out undercuts, draw the boundary of the tray and add the handle.
Dental Axess is committed to delivering a customer-centric business model which provides new technologies through regular software updates such as Dental System 2014 and continued support, training and education. Dental Axess connects its customers to the largest manufacturing network in Australia and New Zealand and offers the most comprehensive range of in-house manufacturing solutions.
