Aspen Medical has successfully completed its dental waiting list project for the Northern Territory (NT) Government, clearing approximately 1,300 patients from the dental waiting list over the last 6 months.
Aspen Medical was contracted by the NT Government to dramatically reduce the dental waiting lists in Darwin and Palmerston, utilising Aspen’s worldwide experience in waiting list reduction programs. Glenn Keys, Managing Director of Aspen Medical, stated "Aspen is proud to be able to deliver innovative and leading edge healthcare to the people of the NT. It is gratifying to help so many people in such a short period of time." Aspen Medical has conducted waiting list programs around the world, including dental waiting list projects in NSW and Victoria. Aspen also has a strong presence in the Northern Territory, having provided obstetric support into Gove and supporting over 450 health professional placements into Indigenous communities across the NT through the Remote Area Health Corps. Aspen Medical has also provided aero medical evacuation services to the Australian Defence Force across northern Australia for the last few years. "The Dental Wait List Blitz has been a very successful initiative and by the time it finishes, the waiting period will be reduced even further," NT Health Minister Kon Vatskalis said.
