This year, we welcome Jürgen Seger from Ivoclar Vivadent in Liechtenstein as the keynote speaker for the dental technology stream. Jurgen is a world renowned Swiss Dental Technician who has worked in Europe and the USA. For the past 10 years, he has been Head of the International Center for Dental Education (ICDE) at Schaan, Liechtenstein and is actively involved in research and product development pertaining to new dental materials and technology.
Another renowned digital dental technology expert, Lino Adolf, is also heading to Australia from the UK for Digital Dentistry and Dental Technology 2019. Born in South Africa and classically trained in dental technology in Europe, he entered the world of CAD/CAM in 1998 and now heads both the Academy of Digital Dentistry in the UK and Majestic Smile Ltd, a dental lab that focuses on CAD/CAM technology to produce high quality crown & bridge and implant restorations.
On the local front, Justin Elsey, the inventor of benchtop DLP 3D printers and the CEO of ASIGA, one of the hottest selling dental 3D printers in the world - all made in Australia - will again present and give insight like no other can into this burgeoning technology. Michael Tuckman, CEO of Osteon Medical, is again on the program after rave review in 2018. Michael started as a dental technician, then studied mechanical engineering before setting up a state-of-the art-milling centre in Melbourne on a massive scale. Osteon now employs a team of 28 people and mills for clients nationally and globally. If you want to know about precision dental manufacturing of implant prosthetics in metal, no one knows more than Michael and his insight and experience is not to be missed.
