German Design Award 2016 for the inEos X5 laboratory scanner

Awards and accolades

The inEos X5 laboratory scanner from Sirona was given special mention in the Medical, Rehabilitation and Health Care category at the "German Design Award 2016". This is one of the most prestigious design competitions globally and is highly respected even outside professional circles. Before being admitted to this exclusive group of candidates, a product must already have been successful in another competition. Being honoured at the " German Design Award 2016" is thus a true accolade.

The inEos X5 already won a prestigious design prize in 2014 - the Red Dot Award. Since 1954, the Red Dots have been awarded to products with outstanding design quality that clearly sets them apart from comparable products. The inEos X5 was given another prestigious award the same year, the iF Design Award.

The inEos X5 success story continued at the "German Design Award 2016", where unique design trends are presented and given prizes. Only products and communication design achievements with proven design quality are admitted to this competition.

Top technology for dental labs

The inEos X5 has not only won several design awards. The extraoral scanner developed by Sirona meets the highest quality standards for optical measuring systems. All optical components of the inEos X5 are designed and produced specifically for dental applications.

The performance of the inEos X5 has been proven in labs around the world. Partial and whole jaw casts, impressions and textures can be digitalized quickly and easily - in less than 60 seconds for whole jaw casts. The 5-axis scanner with a robot arm can be used flexibly - fully automatically or manually. The large operating area allows all conventional articulators to be easily placed. The special inEos X5 optics based on digital stripe light projection allows all situations to be digitalized with outstanding precision and sharpness. This means that even wide-span implant positions can be determined with a high degree of precision.

Receiving the "German Design Award 2016" underscores Sirona's high standards for highly effective yet aesthetically pleasing CAD/CAM solutions for dental labs.
