The Dental Aesthetics Meeting in Asia (DAMA) releases its conference programme with keynote speakers Frank Milnar, Stefen Koubi and Hilal Kuday headlining the event from 28 -29 September 2018 in Singapore.
Organized by the Aesthetic Dentistry Society, Singapore (ADSS), the first edition of DAMA 2018 is themed 'Learning | Collaboration | Inspiration' and will provide dental professionals with the latest updates in dental science and practice to assist dentists in achieving more aesthetic outcomes for their patients. To encourage dentists in the Asia Pacific region to update their skills and knowledge in aesthetic dentistry, this edition of DAMA will also host the biennial meeting of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (AAAD), where the next president of the AAAD, Dr. Kim Myung Jin from South Korea will be inaugurated.
"Today's patients are increasingly more demanding with the aesthetic outcomes of their dental treatment. DAMA intends to assist dental practitioners to meet this demand by inspiring attendees with the latest developments in aesthetic dentistry," explained Dr. Jeffrey Seow, Chairperson, Dental Aesthetics Meeting in Asia 2018.
The Main Scientific Conference will cover topics such as:
- 'Teamwork in the Everyday Practice: Cosmetic/Worn Dentition/Implant, a Guided & Predictable Approach Between the Dental Clinician & the Dental Technician' by Stefen Koubi and Hilal Kuday.
- 'The Power of Pink: Techniques for Pink Composite Restorations with Bioactive Giomer Composites' by Frank Milnar
- 'Simplified Restorative Procedures in the Daily Practice' by Giulio Pavolucci
And much more. In addition, the conference will feature an 'Asian Showcase of the AAAD', where speakers from Asia will highlight the interactions between the various dental specialties and the area of practice of aesthetic dentistry with topics such as 'Aesthetic Consideration of Endodontically Treated Anterior Teeth', 'Orthodontics in Dento-Facial Aesthetics', 'Incorporating Periodontal Surgery to Optimize the Treatment Result' and more. "With the development of materials, digital technologies and imaging hardware and software, it is now easier to incorporate aesthetic treatment into every dental professional's daily workflow. Working together with ADSS for DAMA, the AAAD aims to help every dentist achieve higher standards of aesthetic dentistry with an informed and well-rounded conference programme," explained Dr. Ronnie Yap, President, Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.
A total of 7 hands-on Workshops on both Pre- and Post-congress Days have been planned for dentists, who wish to supplement the theoretical knowledge being shared at the main conference. Workshops will be limited attendance to ensure an optimal ratio of presenter-to-attendee.
The organisers have also curated an exhibition of leading dental companies in aesthetic dentistry to enrich the learnings at the conference by having the latest products, services and solutions on display alongside the main conference. Participants to DAMA will be able to attend the Exhibition Networking Reception on the first event day together with exhibitors to help them expand their professional network. Guests to the reception will have time to meet and discuss the latest learnings over light refreshments within the exhibition hall.
The inaugural Dental Aesthetics Meeting in Asia is also the 6th Biennial Meeting of the ADSS and the 15th Biennial Meeting of the AAAD.
