Core3dcentres, distributors of the iTero intraoral scanner, has announced its further compatibility with a number of new commercial partners.
"The unique openness of the iTero system allows us to work with many different partners throughout the industry to integrate accurate, powder free scans into many different platforms, software and manufacturers," said Ross Phillips, business development manager, core3dcentres.
"I'm personally excited that the iTero system is purely an impression taking tool, allowing the user to continue to work with their current tools, implant systems or laboratories whilst reducing chair time through accurate digital impressions."
iTero is now compatible with the following systems:
- Invisalign - The first Invisalign cases, scanned with iTero, have now been sent from Australia. Since Align Technologies bought Cadent, the manufacturers of the iTero system, many doctors have taken advantage of the accuracy, speed and simple user interface for case submissions. Also the full orthodontic software, iOC, including the market leading OrthoCAD, is now available for orthodontists.
- Biomet 3i Encode - Simply scan the Encoded healing abutment and your lab can provide everything you need for the final restoration. So the first time you take the healing abutment off is when you have the final restoration.
- Cybermed Implant Planning Software - Import iTero scans into the Cybermed software to plan your implant case with the x-ray and soft tissue detail in place. No need to take an impression for tooth or soft tissue-borne stents.
- Materialise Implant Planning Software - Simplant, like Cybermed, allows you to import soft tissue information directly into the implant planning software for superior treatment planning.
- Core3dcentres channel partners - core3dcentres now have over 20 dental laboratories around the country who can either receive your iTero impressions digitally or help you access this exciting technology.
With the digital space moving so fast there will be many more announcements throughout the year introducing new developments with iTero intra Oral scanners.
