Ivoclar Digital is the new digital dentistry partner for dentists and dental technicians, fully supported by Ivoclar Vivadent. Ivoclar Digital offers a complete solution for using digital workflows in your clinic or laboratory, with a portfolio divided into three areas:
1. Scanner | CAD
Intelligent software applications form a solid base for digital dentistry. High precision imaging and state-of-the-art design characterize the machines from 3Shape, the world's leading manufacturer of dental scanners and their software. 3Shape is a key scanner partner with Ivoclar Digital.
3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner
TRIOS is a fast and user-friendly intraoral scanner for digital impression scanning with documented high accuracy, providing optimum treatment results and an excellent fit. Scanning is fast and easy, ensuring enhanced comfort for patients and digital impressions in lifelike colour.
3SHAPE TRIOS Design Studio
TRIOS Design Studio is a plug-and-play software solution for the manufacture of restorations in a single session. Designing and milling IPS e.max® crowns, inlays, bridges and veneers in completely integrated workflows with the new Ivoclar Digital PrograMill One is now a reality.
3Shape TRIOS Design Studio is a new easy-to-use, same-day dentistry solution. 3Shape TRIOS Design Studio is built with the same engine that powers their industry-leading CAD/CAM restorative design software used by a majority of dental labs around the world. Using 3Shape TRIOS Design Studio, you can choose to design and mill your own crowns in-house or cloud share designs with laboratories.
2. Material
IPS e.max is the number one all-ceramic material in the world (Based on sales figures), as has been shown by the 100 million restorations which have been fashioned with this material. Therefore, Ivoclar Digital decided to build on this success and develop a comprehensive materials portfolio.
IPS e.max offers maximum flexibility in the digital dental practice. Dental professionals benefit from a large range of indications for restorations made of IPS e.max lithium disilicate glass-ceramic and zirconium oxide.
IPS e.max CAD has set new standards in all-ceramics. It is known for its versatility, expressive aesthetics, excellent light-optical properties and clinical evidence. Dentists and scientists are equally impressed with the unique structure of the material and its strength of 530 Mpa (Mean biaxial flexural strength, measured over 10 years, R&D Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein).
IPS e.max CAD is ideally suited for the efficient fabrication of full-contour restorations. "Blue" restorations can either be: polished and then crystallized; glazed and crystallized in a single step; or stained, glazed and crystallized in a single step.
IPS e.max ZirCAD involves a quick sintering process, which allows monolithic and aesthetically pleasing zirconia restorations to be created directly in the dental practice using an efficient procedure. This makes this popular restorative material also suitable for chairside applications. IPS e.max ZirCAD is known for its high flexural strength (1,200 MPa*) and high fracture toughness. It allows the fabrication of restorations with considerably lower wall thicknesses (posterior crowns: minimum 0.6 mm; anterior crowns: minimum 0.4 mm). Preparations preserve tooth structure and restorations can be cemented conventionally. Glazing is achieved with IPS e.max CAD Crystall./Glaze, which is available in two versions, one with fluorescent effect and one without.
3. Equipment | CAM
Advanced machines are available for processing advanced materials. Ivoclar Digital have new machines to suit every dental practice and every laboratory. The Programat furnaces are legendary: Their track record is exceptional. The PrograMill machines build on this proven technology: They are designed to mill Ivoclar Digital materials and to fulfil your individualized manufacturing needs.
PrograMill One
Making what is good even better. This has been the motivation behind the development of the PrograMill One - the world's smallest 5-axis milling machine, featuring unique 5-axis turn-milling technology (5XT). This new interplay between man and machine means it can be perfectly integrated within the dental practice. This is Digital Dentistry 4.0!
Everything under control. Always and everywhere
PrograMill One is wireless and can be operated from anywhere within the dental practice via an app from a tablet or smartphone. This way you are always informed of the machine's current status.
PrograMill 3 5 7
If you would like to mill blocks and discs, you can choose between the PrograMill PM3, PM5 or PM7, depending on the size of your laboratory. With these machines, you are well equipped to achieve fast, dynamic and robust results.
PrograMill PM7 sets new industrial standards for the digital production of restorations in the dental laboratory. The powerful performance and dynamics of this unit make it a highlight in the PrograMill portfolio.
The high-power machine is capable of processing a variety of materials in wet and dry mode and is suitable for a wide spectrum of indications. The high dynamics and efficiency of the machine result in precise and fast production results. The 5-axis machining process is controlled via the integrated PC with touch-screen monitor.
