For many years, Ivoclar Vivadent has produced strong, aesthetic, all-ceramic options for clinicians who want to perform metal-free restorative work. Committed to offering dental professionals the most advanced technologies, highest quality products and world-class education, Ivoclar Vivadent has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Wieland Dental, and with it, added Wieland's Zenostar full-contour zirconia to its all-ceramic options. In combination with the popular IPS e.max ceramic, the addition of Zenostar to the company's product line has allowed Ivoclar Vivadent to further its reach into the metal-free market and offer options for clinicians invested in open-ended CAD/CAM solutions.
Ivoclar Vivadent's line of products allows their dental customers in both clinic and laboratory to fabricate all-ceramic restorations in accordance with their desired strength, aesthetics, and cementation methods. Ivoclar Vivadent previously offered clinicans and laboratories a number of material options including IPS EMPRESS, IPS e.max CAD and Press, IPS e.max Ceram and IPS e.max ZirCAD. Ivoclar also offers an extensive range of world leading Programat furnaces including the Programat CS furnace, Programat P300, P500 and P700 ceramic furnaces and press furnace options - Programat EP3000 and Programat EP5000. Ivoclar will also be launching a new range of Programat furnaces in 2014.
Wieland Dental's Zenostar zirconia is used strictly in a laboratory environment. Zenostar's indications cover everything from single unit to 14-unit bridges and the versatile material is available in six basic shades, which can then easily be characterised to accommodate most patient's aesthetic needs. Zenostar demonstrates high flexural strength, is able to reproduce VITA™ Classical and 3D shades and offers very high light transmission. It is also a part of a coordinated system that includes the Zenostar Art Module, which includes stains, glaze and a one-layer ceramic to neatly individualise each restoration.
Materials like IPS e.max CAD and Zenostar will continue to grow in popularity with the digital transformation becoming more and more cost-effective than ever before. Digital options are very affordable with materials like Zenostar and IPS e.max providing excellent results and value. Ivoclar Vivadent will continue to be a step in front of the marketplace, providing its customers with new technologies and flexible options.
