Henry Schein Halas has commenced distribution of two of Australia's best known dental equipment brands. From January 1, the complete range of KaVo dental equipment that includes dental units, handpieces, lasers, CAD/CAM systems, DIAGNOdent, HealOzone, laboratory equipment and furniture and more, plus the Gendex range of imaging systems will be available from the company.
The move is a further distribution alignment with US-based Danaher Corporation, which has also seen the Pelton & Crane range of dental units become available through Henry Schein Halas in 2008. In recent years, Danaher has purchased well-known manufacturers including KaVo, Gendex, Pelton & Crane, Kerr, Ormco, Sybron Endo, Innova, Imaging Sciences (iCAT), Dexis, Leica and more.
"The introduction of KaVo and Gendex to Henry Schein's equipment portfolio further expands the wide range of options for our customers ensuring we have the best solution for their individual needs," said Peter Dewhirst
, the KaVo Product Manager at Henry Schein Halas. "We are looking forward to cementing KaVo's position as the world's leading equipment brand through a very close partnership with the KaVo Group.
"Some of the very exciting new products we will be offering include the KaVo Estetica E80 which is the ultimate dental unit and the Gendex GXCB-500 Cone Beam Volumetric Tomography Unit powered by iCAT. KaVo have also increased the warranty on new VisualiX eHD sensors to a market leading 4-year full replacement warranty."
Based in Melbourne, Mr Dewhirst was formerly the State Manager Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania for Ivoclar Vivadent and joined the Henry Schein Halas team as Product Manager for KaVo, Gendex and Pelton & Crane.
"Henry Schein Halas has taken a number of steps to ensure we represent KaVo with distinction while continuing to grow and strengthen our equipment team for the benefit of our customers," he said. "We have added 20 staff to the already highly experienced equipment team, doubling the size of the technical support network for KaVo and Gendex customers.
"We have also introduced a digital support centre for customers who purchase Gendex products and we will work closely with and support the existing network of private KaVo service technicians throughout the country. In addition, our internal Service Technicians have been factory trained on all KaVo Products which effectively doubles the size of the KaVo technical service network in Australia. We are also committed to ongoing training so we can provide the latest up-to-date support."
