New 3M ESPE Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative: Place 5mm in one increment

New Products

3M™ ESPE™ has unveiled new Filtek™ Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative, a one-step placement solution designed for durability.

With approximately 70 percent of restorations placed in the posterior, dentists everywhere are seeking solutions to help them perform faster and easier procedures without compromising patient care. Now, new 3M ESPE Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative meets this need as a one-step placement bulk fill material that delivers stress relief, excellent wear resistance and the ability to place up to 5mm in one increment. By eliminating expensive dispensing devices, additional layers and multiple steps, Filtek Bulk Fill posterior restorative gives dentists a fast and easy option for direct restorations.

With a simple one-step placement technique up to 5 mm, Filtek Bulk Fill posterior restorative can save valuable chairtime by giving dentists a "one and done" option. It is uniquely formulated for stress relief, with two novel methacrylate monomers that act in combination to lower polymerisation stress. This innovative technology was co-developed through collaboration with Professor Christopher Bowman from the University of Colorado, with the financial support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The use of these monomers enables bulk placement without sacrificing strength or wear resistance. In fact, Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior Restorative has been shown to have better in-vitro wear resistance than other market-leading bulk fill materials.

In the long history of Filtek restoratives, dentists have come to rely on the brand for excellent handling and Filtek Bulk Fill posterior restorative continues that trend. It also utilises the same true nanofiller technology of other Filtek restoratives, which enables high strength, wear resistance, surface smoothness and gloss retention. Additionally, the material's excellent adaptation and sculptability contribute to its ease of use and fast placement.
