New Hu-Friedy Implacare II for implant maintenance

Hu-Friedy has launched the new Implacare II range of instruments designed for use in implant maintenance. Implacare is made of PLASTEEL, a high grade, unfilled resin that causes the least amount of alteration to implant abutment surfaces.

Research has demonstrated the relationship between surface and peri-implant environmental alterations and the development of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Implacare II features a 20% thinner tip design, allowing more effective access to implant abutment surfaces. Better access allows for more effective maintenance of implant abutment surfaces. New universal curette designs (Barnhart 5/6 and Langer 1/2) provide clinicians with additional choices for their armamentarium so that they can refine their instrument selection based on patient needs. A variety of interchangeable tip options can also be changed based on patient needs.
