New iCEM all-in-one luting cement

New Products

The new ICEM Self Adhesive, the first all-in-one resin luting cement from Heraeus Kulzer, is now available.

Used for indirect restorations, it can now etch, prime, bond, desensitise and cement in just a single working step. Numerous scientific studies prove that iCEM Self Etch not only combines reliable bond strength with an easy universal application but also reduces the risk of postoperative sensitivity.

The first self-adhesive, dual-curing resin luting cement from Heraeus Kulzer is based on many years of experience in the ongoing development of composite materials and self-etching adhesives. iCEM Self Adhesive is very versatile and covers virtually all indications and materials used for indirect restorations in the dental practice such as metal and all-ceramic crowns and bridges, composite and ceramic inlays - onlays or glass fibre root posts.

iCEM is applied directly into the indirect restoration or cavity using an Automix syringe. Additional mixing or application devices are not required. Excellent stability means that it can be stored at room temperature and thanks to the innovative formula, it tolerates varying degrees of moisture on the prepared tooth. This ensures reliable curing and marginal integrity. Another feature is its exceptionally long working time, because the material sets only after seating the restoration.

The cement also has a desensitising effect. Exposed dentinal tubuli, over dried dentine, and over etching of the dentine are all avoided by using iCEM Self Etch.

Numerous researchers from leading universities have verified the mechanical properties of iCEM Self Adhesive. In tensile tests carried out by Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, USA, the bond strength to root dentine with nearly 250N proved to be higher than for products of other suppliers.

This and further studies have proven that the innovative formula of iCEM Self Adhesive combines the advantages of classical cements, like easy handling and tolerance to moisture on the tooth, with the high-quality mechanical and aesthetic properties of resin luting cements.
