The new Kodak 9000C 3D System available from William Green Pty Ltd enables dental professionals to obtain low-dose, high-resolution, three-dimensional (3D) images, as well as panoramic and cephalometric images, at an affordable price.
Featuring an attractive design and a full cranial lateral format, the system provides the broadest range of cephalometric image formats available on the market.
"One-Shot" cephalometric technology maximizes productivity and image quality with image acquisition taking less than a second. Additionally, pan-oramic image quality is optimized for the jaw morphology of the patient with the system's new variable focal trough feature.
The unique 3-in-1 system offers the ability to capture a localized field of view 3D image, which can be limited, for example, to the roots of upper centrals or a temporomandibular joint (TMJ) area. Benefits include less radiation and high image quality. Orthodontists can use the system in such cases as impacted teeth, tooth anomalies, incisor bone assessment or micro-implants.
New tracings software
The software that ships with the Kodak 9000C 3D System is unique: in a single click, thanks to the automatic tracings tool, orthodontists are able to place up to 26 points and 13 structures of the facial area. It's also time saving as, typically, such tracings take up to 10 minutes when done manually, and 4 minutes minimum when done using an Ortho-tracing software. The practitioner can use the pre-defined analysis (Ricketts, Steiner, McNamara or Tweed) included with the software, or customize the template of points and structures that the user is accustomed to working with to analyze the image. Users can also get an HTML report summarizing all patient data. This simplifies the workflow by allowing the practitioner to focus on more added-value tasks.
Elegant compact design
The Kodak 9000C 3D System requires 20% less space than its predecessor, the Kodak 8000C. This reduced size is due to the shortening of the cephalometric module, limiting the need for room modifications. Thanks to the motorized collimator, the Kodak 9000C 3D becomes the only unit to offer as broad a range of cephalometric fomats. It suits any orthodontic tracing need, from the full skull (30x30cm), to standard (18x24cm) and small field for lower dose exposures. Furthermore, the system generates lateral, frontal (AP/PA), submento-vertex, oblique and carpus images with constant reproducibility.
Localized 3D imaging
Having highly detailed, true-to-life 3D images helps orthodontic professionals provide quicker and more accurate diagnoses, improved treatment planning and better patient care. The added third dimension allows orthodontists, for example, to view and analyze root position or conduct bone loss screenings. Multiple slices allow the clinician to view impactions from various angles to best determine the method of treatment.
Affordable three-in-one solution
Panoramic and cephalometric images are the first step in many orthodontic examinations and treatments. They offer a global perspective of the jaws, teeth and related anatomy. The Kodak 9000C 3D System provides high-end panoramic and full cranial cephalometric imaging capabilities with a great variety of patient settings. In order to avoid sensor dropping - and to simplify the work of the user – all that is required is to select between panoramic, cephalometric and 3D modes. The unit then automatically switches without manual interaction.
