New Sirona ORTHOPHOS SL 3D: A powerful performer for every practice

New Products Radiography

Sirona's new ORTHOPHOS SL delivers sharper-than-ever 3D imaging. From incredibly sharp 2D panoramic images with its DCS sensor and Sharp Layer Technology, to full 3D volume flexibility due to its selectable fields of view and easier, more secure patient positioning for the perfect image, the ORTHOPHOS SL 3D facilitates every practice workflow.

Paired with SIDEXIS 4 imaging software, it offers you even more options for your practice, allowing you to be more efficient than ever before. The ORTHOPHOS SL's intuitive user interface and automatic positioner aids can be very easily operated by the entire team, which minimises waiting times, avoids the need for corrections, and guarantees perfect results.

Direct Conversion Sensor

The ORTHOPHOS SL's revolutionary Direct Conversion Sensor (DCS) converts X-rays directly into electrical signals without the conventional intermediate step of conversion into light. Thus, signal loss is minimised, resulting in images with unparalleled definition and better image quality with the lowest dose.

Variety of 3D volume sizes

For absolute flexibility, ORTHOPHOS SL 3D lets you choose the volume size you need. Choose between 5 x 5.5 for endodontics or single implant planning or either 8 x 8 cm or 11 x 10 cm volumes for airway analysis.

HD or SD mode and the possibility to select the volume size according to your diagnosis allow for excellent image quality by limiting radiation to the region of interest.

Sharp Layer (SL) Technology

Sharp Layer Technology allows you to generate several thousand images during a single rotation. The fragments with the best focus are automatically combined to form one X-ray image with incomparable sharpness. High resolution images of the entire jaw - every time.

You will be able to approach special cases, such as impacted teeth, with ease. Interactive SL allows you to define an image area of your choice even after imaging, so you can focus on lingual/buccal objects - without the need for corrective re-imaging.

Interactive SL allows for subsequent lingual / buccal object focusing without the need for a second X-ray.

Stable positioning

The unit automatically determines the correct tilt of the head and indicates it using corresponding symbols and colours. The motorised 3-point head fixation and stable handles give your patients the necessary support, while at the same time the light localisers assist you by indicating when your patient is correctly positioned. The integrated temple width measurement ensures an orbit specific to each patient and thereby results in high image sharpness every time.

Sirona SIDEXIS 4: The new standard in clinical diagnosis and patient communication

SIDEXIS 4 is the software for clear diagnoses, optimised workflow and enhanced patient communication. It efficiently structures your workflow in its modern and intuitive design and serves as a basis for further planning and diagnosis. The principle of SIDEXIS 4 is to make all visual data available at a glance. Switching to other programs is minimised so you have the optimum basis for diagnosis.

Fully integrated treatment planning

SIDEXIS 4 software functions as a central hub for the integration of any and all diagnostic imaging data obtained by the dental team. It allows for the assimilation of data in a single, simplified software platform, enabling clinicians to visually present pertinent patient information in a single, unified environment.

Optimised for seamless workflow

All diagnostic imaging tools are directly accessible via SIDEXIS 4 software, utilising an intuitive, icon-driven menu system. The software follows a logical workflow pattern to efficiently and effectively guide the clinician through each step in the treatment process.

Universal compatibility

SIDEXIS 4 Software is open to all major image formats, readily accepting files obtained by intraoral, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, 2D and 3D CBCT systems, intraoral cameras, FaceScanner and more.

Enhanced diagnoses and treatment

Images in various formats can be easily imported and displayed in a single environment at their highest resolution. SIDEXIS 4 allows groupings of high quality images (from as many sources as necessary) in a way that facilitates diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as communication with patients, staff, the laboratory and other specialists.

All visual data available at a glance

The principle of SIDEXIS 4 is to make all visual data available at a glance. Switching to other programs is minimized so you have the optimum basis for diagnosis.

No more switching between programs and different screens is made possible with the SIDEXIS 4 "Lightbox" feature. Using this, you can now view digital x-rays, CBCT scans, intraoral, pan-ceph, and FaceScan images on the same screen at the same time. Side-by-side objective anatomical comparisons have never been easier: Simply drag and drop two or more images onto the screen - even 3D images can be used interactively in this view. SIDEXIS 4 also provides workflow guidance throughout case progression, so you always know where you are, where you've been, and what's next in the clinical workflow.

Sirona ORTHOPHOS SL is available both as a 2D panoramic unit or 3D CBCT.
