WhiteFox, Acteon Group's new large field of view cone beam imaging system, is now available in Australia. WhiteFox is the world's first dental 3D CBCT system to feature calibrated Hounsfield Units, which allow for a reliable and confident analysis of the bone quality as well as a clear differentiation between hard and soft tissue.
With five different fields of view to choose from, WhiteFox caters to all indications from implantology, endodontics, orthodontics, ENT and maxillofacial surgery. The largest field of view -170 x 200mm - gives a complete 1:1 acquisition from a single exposure without the artefacts usually created by stitching.
Using a collimated field of view together with pulsed X-Rays, WhiteFox delivers optimal image quality with minimal dose to the patient. The scan and reconstruction time takes less than two minutes!
WhiteFox Imaging provides a complete software solution that includes modules for a broad range of areas including cephalometry, orthodontics, gnathology, nerve tracing, implant planning, bone density check, TMJ analysis, endodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery. An optimised workstation supplied with the unit comes pre-installed with WhiteFox Imaging and four extra licences are included in case more computers are needed for consult.
The open arch design, combined with face-to-face positioning means the patient feels comfortable and relaxed during the scan, including patients in a wheelchair, which shows on the resulting images.
Printing and reporting is made easy with only a few drag and drops thanks to the many available templates.
Patient cases can also be exported to a CD or USB stick with a free version of WhiteFox Imaging with all the tools required for a diagnosis included.
WhiteFox, made with premium quality materials, won the 2011 "Red Dot Design" award for style and elegance.
