Planmeca is proud to introduce a new one‐shot type cephalostat that is available for the company's Planmeca ProMax® 2D and 3D units. In addition, Planmeca offers all the necessary tools and software for orthodontic treatment planning and follow‐up.
The new Planmeca ProCeph™ is an effective one‐shot cephalostat with a short exposure time and low patient dose. The result is a high‐quality cephalometric image with no motion artefacts and sizes ranging from 18x25 cm to 30x25 cm.
The functional and easy‐to‐use head positioner of the cephalostat ensures accurate patient positioning for all cephalometric projections. The carbon fibre ear posts and nasal positioner are extremely stable, hygienic and transparent to radiation. The unit automatically aligns itself to take cephalometric exposures and then selects a corresponding collimator. In Planmeca's 3D units, the rotating tube head eliminates the need to remove the 3D sensor before taking a cephalometric image.
In addition to the new one‐shot cephalostat, Planmeca also offers a scanning cephalostat option.
"We are very happy to be able to offer this advanced technology and thus answer to the most demanding orthodontic needs. The cephalometric image is captured with a very short exposure time without any motion distortion or artefacts. The high‐quality sensor guarantees a premium image quality," says Ms Helianna Puhlin‐Nurminen, Vice President of Digital Imaging and Applications division at Planmeca Oy.
"Together with our advanced software solutions, we are able to offer all the necessary equipment for orthodontists."
