Roland DG announces CAD/CAM distribution partnership with Biomedex

Distribution News

Roland DG Australia, a leading worldwide provider of 3D milling, engraving and direct part marking technologies, has announced a partnership with Biomedex, a division of Device Technologies, to distribute the DWX-50 dental milling machine. The DWX-50 is an advanced 5-axis system for creating high-quality dental prosthetics, including copings, crowns, full bridges and abutments using materials including zirconia, wax, PMMA and acrylics.

The DWX-50 is Roland's most advanced dental milling machine to date, offering a compact, affordable solution based on 20 years of the company's proven 3D milling technology. The DWX-50 offers dental labs new advanced features which enable the seamless production of complex dental prosthetics. The system allows dental labs, for instance, to produce the bulk of their requirements in-house from as little as $15 a unit for a full contour crown.

"Roland DG is excited to partner with Biomedex and Device Technologies," said Marc Margetts, Managing Director, Roland DG Australia. "On the back of over 1000 installations of the DWX-50 worldwide, there is lots of potential for the Australian market to take up this cost-effective, state-of-the-art solution for dental milling."

The partnership between Roland DG Australia and Biomedex will see Biomedex distribute the DWX-50 Dental Milling Machine to the Australian market under the "Easyshape" brand via their extensive dental dealer network.

Device CEO Peter Ord said "We're very proud to be associated with Roland DG and innovative technology like this. We see the Roland DWX-50 adding value to the dental community as it provides a local, cost-effective solution to both the dental profession and their patients. This product will most certainly fit very well within our Biomedex division given Biomedex's extensive reach into dental distributors and dealers".
