The new trend: Sustainable oral health care

Eco Friendly Products New Products Oral Hygiene

Recent research has revealed that nine out of ten consumers are now choosing ethically sourced products, with an increasing number of dental professionals joining in the movement, emphasising the need for brands to move towards eco-friendly offerings. Leading Australian oral health care organisation, Caredent, continues to lead the way with their range of eco-friendly products now available on www.catch.com.au for a great price. “Our entire team is passionate about driving eco-improvement within the oral health industry as Australia campaigns the single-use plastic movement,” Dr Raymond Shroot, CEO and Founder of Caredent says, “To be able to offer this with affordability in mind, consumers can purchase in bulk from our online store or via Catch.”

With Caredent’s range of plastic-free products, there is potential for consumers to aid in reducing plastic waste in Australia if enough people make the switch.

Providing the perfect solution for the environmentally conscious consumer, the Biobrush consists of a 100% corn-starch handle, the new trend for brands looking to replace plastic materials. To add to its environmentally friendly image, the brush comes in a paper sleeve with no plastic blister. Better yet, gums will feel amazing with the brushes’ double tapered bristles. Available as a packet of five for RRP$20 from Catch.com.au, consumers will receive a black, purple, pink, blue and green toothbrush. The Bio-brush is the perfect way for each member of the family to lead a more sustainable life on a budget.

When brushing isn’t enough for cleaning crowns, implants or braces, the Interbrush In A Box is bound to help. Offering the same wire-free, gentle and flexible technology as before, the Interbrush now comes in 100% recyclable packaging. In addition, Caredent promises to deliver the same high-quality PerioTape™, Australia’s first PTFE tape and nylon dental floss which Caredent is known for in the same recyclable cardboard packaging. The Nylon Floss In A Box is available in a pack of two (2 x 100m) for RRP$10 from Catch.com.au with the PerioTape on offer in a pack of two for RRP$12.

Prevent cavities and gum disease sustainably with the Caredent Eeziflossers Biodegradable. These new Eco flossers are based on Caredent’s original Eeziflossers which are Australia’s leading flosser brand. Made from UHMPE floss, the Eeziflossers Biodegradable removes plaque debris and bacteria between the teeth to combat gum disease. Caredent continues with its move to 100% corn starch materials with the handle of the flossers made from the biodegradable material and allowing for recyclable disposing. Available as a packet of two from Catch.com.au for RRP$9.98. Along with aiming to help the planet, the eco-range also aims to help those fighting breast cancer as Caredent’s ongoing partnership with the McGrath Foundation continues. With the goal to donate $140,000 per year to fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse, 10 cents from every affiliated product sold will be directly donated to the McGrath Foundation.
