Usage restrictions lifted on Nomad x-ray

Radiography

Following last month's news article Nomad proves safe for general use, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) has confirmed their desicion to allow the unrestricted sale and use of the Nomad in NSW, as is already allowed in Victoria.

The handheld dental x-ray system produces a considerably lower radiation dose to staff and has been designed for general purpose dentistry use and is ideal for children, sedated patients or special needs. Previously, the DECCW had implemented restrictions on its use requiring additional protection measures such as the use of lead aprons or stands as well as providing justification to the DECCW to use the handheld dental device which the study revealed were unwarranted. Inline Medical and Dental have now received written confirmation from the DECCW that these previous restrictions are no longer relevant.
