Wisbey Dental has won a major tender to supply a selection of Aseptico portable dental equipment to both the New Zealand Dental Health Board in Wellington and the New Zealand Defence Force.
Managing Director, Greg Wisbey and Technical Manager Matthew Cowmeadow travelled to New Zealand in the last week of August to conduct the formal training and equipment handover.
"It's been a tremendous opportunity for our company to present this excellent range to the people of New Zealand," Mr Wisbey said. "For many years, we've had great success in regional countries like Papua New Guinea where Aseptico portable equipment is widely used to deliver primary dental care throughout the country, so it's really great to see the integration, acceptance and application of this unique equipment alongside modern dentistry in first world countries.
"The Aseptico range allows users to treat patients in many places that would otherwise be difficult or near impossible. Essentially, we can supply a complete dental surgery in an easily transportable, very portable kit form. This can be delivered easily into any remote area for immediate use. The units can even operate off a power generator in situations where mains electricity is not available. So it truly is portable."
Over the years, Wisbey Dental has supplied Aseptico portable dental equipment to many other specific clients including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Australian Defence Force, remote dental health specialists, voluntary dental health care workers, domiciliary dental teams and many others.
