Technical research and development are in continuous evolution, constantly providing new techniques to be integrated in the workflow for the creation of dental restorations.
Zirkonzahn's Face Hunter facial scanner is one such evolution that offers a tool that enables 3D scanning of the patient's face. This tool makes it possible to work with the patient's facial features, which enables the user to transfer the facial scan data, together with the models, in the virtual articulator in relation to the axis.
The Face Hunter is designed for ease of use: with a single click it is possible to scan the patient's face in only 0.3 seconds. The scanner can also be used out of the dental laboratory, just using a laptop. 3D facial scan data can bring many advantages not only to the dental technician but also to the dentist and the patient.
Thanks to the use of the patient's real facial features in this workflow, the dental technician can obtain a result that is much more precise and thus offer to the dentist and the patient a near-photorealistic preview of the definitive restoration.
This is not only a marketing tool, but also a tool that provides the patient a concrete idea of the final work during the consultation phase.
The faces scanned with the Face Hunter are imported into the modeling software Zirkonzahn.Modellier and then combined with the models implemented through the S600 ARTI scanner. It is now possible to model the restoration starting from the patient's facial features. Through the software module CAD/CAM Reality Mode, the piece of work can be represented in a very realistic way.
Facial scans can be combined with dental technician Udo Plaster's Plane System®. The Plane System is an important component of Plaster's concept concerning integral dental restorations, which takes new facial features as aligning points for the transferral of the models. A flash system for perfect lighting is included in the equipment. Upon request, a light stand can also be provided.
