3Shape TRIOS is a complete intraoral impression solution that includes intraoral scanning, intelligent software tools and seamless communication with the lab. Unique features include spray-free scanning for optimal accuracy and patient comfort; easy scanning and complete motion/positioning freedom; wide range of dental indications; instant impression validation; online communication for rapid feedback from the lab; and scans are immediately ready for design - no need to wait days for central scan cleaning.
Designed for high-speed digital impression capture, 3Shape's Ultrafast Optical Sectioning technology captures more than 3000 2D images per second - 100 times faster than a conventional video camera. The combination of thousands of 3D digital pictures create the final 3D digital impression based on real data rather than interpolated artificial surfaces.
Motion and positioning freedom ensures that the image continuously remains in focus throughout scanning. There is no need to hold the scanner at a specific distance or angle and the dentist can rest the scanner on the teeth for support as they scan.
