The AMD Picasso is the ideal replacement for a scalpel and electrosurge for soft-tissue surgery and cutting and coagulating tissue with greater precision, reduced trauma, bleeding and necrosis. The top 12 procedures carried out with a soft tissue laser include gingivectomy, gingival troughing for crown impressions, gingival incision and excision, frenectomy, fibroma removal, implant recovery, treatment of aphthous and herpetic ulcers or lesions, hemangioma ablation, operculectomy, root canal decontamination and sulcular decontamination.
