The bluephase style light, an ergonomic battery-operated LED polymerisation light with the intensity of 1,100 mW/cm2 features balanced weight distribution and an ergonomic shape. A particularly handy feature is the shortened light probe tip, which allows for comfortable curing in hard-to-reach posterior areas. Thanks to the large diameter of 10mm, the bluephase style is capable of completely covering large cavities. For every material and always ready for use, the bluephase style light is equipped with a polywave LED. The LED offers a broad light spectrum ranging from 385 to 515nm and is able to cure all photoinitiators and materials. Furthermore, the convenient change from battery to mains operations offers the benefit of continuing to work even if the battery is empty.

Intelligent direct restorative technique for posterior restorations
Intelligent direct restorative technique
31 Jul 2016 | Clinical Excellence
If a conventional incremental technique is used to place direct composite fillings, the composites are applied in single increments of a maximum thickness of 2 mm and the individual increments are light-cured separately for 10 to 40 s1 depending on the light intensity of the curing light and the shade and degree of translucency of the composite mat...
A modern direct restorative technique for posterior restorations
Posterior restoration case
31 May 2015 | Clinical Excellence
Until recently, the incremental layering technique has been considered the gold standard for the application of light-curing composites.1 Conventional composites are normally applied in individual increments of a maximum of no more than 2 mm due to their polymerization properties and limits on curing depth. The individual increments are polymerized...

The bulk-fill technique: Economical composite-based posterior restorations
The bulk-fill technique: Economical composite-based posterior restorations
31 Oct 2013 | Clinical Excellence
Direct composite restorations have become an indispensable element of modern dentistry. They are used because they offer a wide range of applications, help preserve and stabilize tooth structure and, compared with indirect restorative techniques, enable an economical and time-saving procedure. Composites are placed with an incremental technique, u...
Fillings in one step: Are they already a reality?
31 Oct 2012 | Clinical Excellence
Our professional belief system is a complex mix between scientifically-proven facts and emotionally-based beliefs. Composite placement is not exempt from this combination. We all know, or rather should, that 4th generation of adhesives (multi-bottle systems) perform better than simplified adhesive systems (one bottle). However, sales of simple adhe...
