Fiorinal Dental is an analgesic marketed to treat dental pain. It is a Pharmacist Only Medicine sold in packs of 20 capsules. Each capsule contains the active ingedients Paracetamol (500mg); Codeine Phosphate (10mg); and Doxylamine Succinate (2mg). Paracetamol is an analgesic which also reduces fever. Doxylamine succinate is an antihistamine with pronounced sedative effects. Codeine phosphate is an analgesic and in combination with paracetamol and doxylamine produces greater pain relief than any of these drugs alone and avoids the side effects associated with large doses of these components.
