Geistlich Mucograft Seal
Geistlich Mucograft Seal consists of porcine collagen and is specifically designed for soft tissue regeneration in anterior extraction sockets. Geistlich Mucograft is built up of a compact structure that gives stability while allowing open healing, and a spongy structure that supports blood clot stabilisation and ingrowth of soft tissue cells. Geistlich Mucograft Seal is a ready-to-use collagen matrix with a convenient circular shape. The collagen matrix provides an alternative to soft-tissue grafts. Geistlich Mucograft Seal is indicated for the sealing of extraction sockets with preserved buccal walls in combination with Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen in Ridge Preservation procedures (Jung R, et al.: J. Clin Periodontol 2013; 40(1): 90-98). This treatment leads to predictable dimensions for soft-tissue regeneration (Geistlich Mucograft Seal Advisory Board Meeting Report, 2013. Data on file, Geistlich Pharma AG, Wolhusen, Switzerland). The main benefits of Mucograft Seal are minimal invasion, less morbidity, natural colour and texture match, reduced surgical chair time and predictable soft-tissue dimensions for soft-tissue regeneration at implant placement.
