This product has been superceded by the Planmeca ProX.

Planmeca Intra X-ray unit maximises the diagnostic value of all intraoral radiography techniques and produces exceptionally clear images with outstanding sharpness and maximum detail. The unique non-symmetric design of the X-ray tube head makes aiming exceptionally easy and precise and its extremely steady arm provides smooth, precise movement, further increasing the accuracy and ease of positioning. The tube head weighs only 4.5 kg (10 lbs), enabling drift-free placement.

Imaging parameters are selected on the intuitive control panel with quick settings for different imaging needs (single tooth, bite-wing, endo, occlusal and adult/child) configured with the right exposure values for individual cases. Radiation technique parameters (cone length, film speed, etc) can easily be adjusted by changing the density settings.

Planmeca Intra provides full control of the imaging parameters (kV, mA, time) thus guaranteeing optimal images for different anatomical conditions and image receptors. The voltage is adjustable from 50 to 70 kV and current from 2 to 8 mA.

Planmeca Intra has versatile installation possibilities: standard wall mount, single stud mount, dental unit mount, ceiling mount optionally with operating light, floor column mount and pass-through mount. Four extension arm lengths are available for wall mount, reach between 1525 and 1975 mm.

Optionally, the Planmeca ProSensor digital x-ray imaging system can connect direct to the x-ray unit arm to reduce cable clutter and a simple selection of the image receptor automatically adapts the pre-programmed settings of the Planmeca Intra ready for exposing a digital sensor.
