Smartbleach is on of the most advanced tooth whitening / bleaching systems. It uses the principle of photodynamic therapy whereby green light (532 nm) interacts with the red bleaching gel which is applied to the teeth. Hereby a very specific photochemical reaction is initiated whereby specific and reactive chemical species are formed which diffuse through the enamel and bleach the chromophores in the dentin.
